Timber Products

As part of Writtle Park Woodlands UKWAS management plan it is recognised that the current spacing regime of viable timber trees within the woodland is not sustainable. Restoration of coppice with standards requires selective felling of quality oak, ash and chestnut timber trees over the next 5 years.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

• Oak timbers ranging from 400mm to 900mm DBH standing or at road side
• Chestnut timbers ranging from 400mm to 900mm DBH standing
• Ash timbers ranging from 400mm to 900mm DBH standing

The company is currently in the process of obtaining Forestry Stewardship Certification as part of a group scheme. This will involve collaboration with other woodland owners and managers through out Essex, including authority owned woodlands.

Writtle Park will be the group manager of this scheme and is working with Essex County Council to offer an online market place for buyers and sellers within Essex and surrounding counties for both timber and wood fuel products, specifically harvested from FSC woodlands.
